UBS & Anderson Guest Speaker Event: James Kim

The Undergraduate Business Society (UBS) and Anderson are excited to host a talk by James Kim, current Chairman and CEO of the American Chamber of Commerce in Korea (AMCHAM Korea). Prior to AMCHAM Korea, Mr. Kim’s previous roles include President and CEO of GM Korea, Country Manager and CEO of Microsoft Korea, CEO of Yahoo! Korea as well as Asia Regional Vice President of Overture (a wholly owned subsidiary of Yahoo!). Before that, Mr. Kim worked predominantly in the United States and held positions such as Managing Partner at Palisades Advisors, CEO at The Corcoran Group, CEO of Vivien International and National Marketing Manager at AT&T. Mr. Kim graduated from UCLA in 1984 with a B.A. in Economics and founded the Undergraduate Business Society during his time here. He also holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

Besides speaking about his career path and management philosophy, Mr. Kim will be sharing some advice on what it takes to be successful in the corporate workplace and tips that may be helpful in securing a job. He will also be talking about the impact of business school on his career as well as his perspective on international jobs. Please note that there will be a Q&A session after the speech, so please come prepared with questions. Details are as follows:
